Buenos Aires, March 23 (NA) -- Defense Minister Carlos Alberto Presti will hold a meeting this Monday with the US Under Secretary of War, Joseph Humire, to negotiate the acquisition of Black Hawk helicopters aimed at strengthening national security. According to the Argentine News Agency, the department led by the Lieutenant General has 10 million dollars in the 2025 budget to purchase helicopters, and it has been reported that Presti's intention is for four of them to arrive in Argentina before the end of the year. During the meeting, the situation in the Middle East will also be analyzed, while Presti will also present Argentina's willingness to acquire technological supplies that would improve the country's defense capabilities against possible cyberattacks. Meanwhile, the Defense Minister will also hold meetings with the Argentine ambassador to the OAS, Carlos Cherniak, and with Alberto Fohrig, who was appointed as the liaison for Haiti for Albert Ramdin, Secretary General of that regional forum.
